I must apologize for not having posted any new blogs recently. In the last two weeks, things have changed rather significantly in my daily life. Up until June 2nd, I was preparing for the trip of a lifetime, canoeing the Thomsen River for 16 days on Banks Island in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Then I received a phone call that my husband had broken his leg in a softball game. So much for our planned trip.
Now I find myself having to handle all the responsibilities that my husband would normally take care of, in addition to my own since he can’t put any weight on his leg for at least 4-6 weeks. I’m not looking for sympathy, but I am finding myself much busier than normal.
Now that I won’t be gone on vacation for nearly 3 weeks, I will hopefully have a little more time to catch up on some topics that I had planned to blog about. It’s amazing, though, how many calls I’ve been getting for instructional classes and private lessons. I have already had to add a few more sessions of “Recreational Kayaking Basics”, “Introduction to Sea Kayaking” and a new date for a trip on the Fox River! What looked like 3 empty weeks on the calendar is quickly filling up.
Please excuse me if I don’t answer your e-mails and calls quite as quickly as usual right now. I promise I will get back to you. You may just need to be a little patient with me since I have a “big patient” with me right now. ; )
