Classes and trips are held at several local waterways:

IMGP2429Wind Lake in northwestern Racine County, Wisconsin – this location provides clear, shallow water that warms up quickly and a firm lake bottom.  For classes that meet at  Sportsman’s Landing (25313W. Loomis Road, Wind Lake, WI 53185), you have the added convenience of an on-site restaurant and bar for getting a bite to eat before, after, or for lunch during an all-day class.  (directions to Sportsman’s Landing) Some week-day classes meet at the DNR boat launch off South Wind Lake Road on the southwest corner of the lake.  (Map of Wind Lake)

South Shore in FallSouth Shore Park along Lake Michigan in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee is almost always a safe location to launch and land a kayak.  Adjacent to South Shore Yacht Club, protection from the breakwater allows us to be able to run our intermediate level classes in most normal wind and weather patterns while giving easy access to more challenging conditions when appropriate.  Parking is available in close proximity to the water.
