—Class Locations—

Classes and trips are held at several local waterways:

Boat House Bar & Grill, Upper Nemahbin LakeUpper and Lower Nemahbin Lakes near Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in western Waukesha County – clear water and easy highway access from I-94 make this our most popular location for introductory and advanced classes that require students to spend a lot of time in the water.  Classes usually meet at the Boat House Bar & Grill, 34422 Delafield Road, Oconomowoc, WI 53066 (directions)(Map of Upper and Lower Nemahbin Lakes)

IMGP2429Wind Lake in northwestern Racine County, Wisconsin – this location provides shallow water that warms up quickly, a firm lake bottom, and convenience for students living in the southern half of Milwaukee County and the southern counties of Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth.  Most classes meet at The Sportsman’s Landing, 25313 W. Loomis Road, Wind Lake, WI 53185.  (directions to Sportsman’s Landing) A few classes meet at the DNR boat launch off South Wind Lake Road on the southwest corner of the lake.  (Map of Wind Lake)

South Shore in FallSouth Shore Park along Lake Michigan in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee is almost always a safe location to launch and land a kayak.  Adjacent to South Shore Yacht Club, protection from the breakwater allows us to be able to run our intermediate level classes in most normal wind and weather patterns.  Parking is available in close proximity to the water.
